Opolskie Przedsiębiorstwo Innowacyjno-Wdrożeniowe "OPIW" Sp. z o.o. established on the initiative of Józef Sitarz in 1988. The company mission is health promoting activity, focusing on production of rehabilitation devices for kinesitherapy. The company has developed and implemented several products protected by patent rights in the Polish Patent Office during 17 years of operation.

The company "OPIW" Sp. z o.o. produces high quality:

We have developed and implemented license-based production of a number of modern products, in accordance with international standards (according to Balneology Institute in Warsaw)

The following products deserve a special mention:
- chair for diagnostics and measurement of moments of force in lower and upper limbs - license from Military Technical Academy in Warsaw
- the only in the world complete unit for prevention and correction of posture faults OPIW-01 recommended by the Polish Ministry of National Education and Sports for use in primary and secondary schools (at no. 0194 in the recommended products catalogue - www.srodki-dydaktyczne.menis.gov.pl item 194). Over 400 Polish schools received the OPIW-01 unit in 2004. In 2005, the company "Promocja Rehabilitacji Polskiej" [Promotion of Polish Rehabilitation] with partners prepared the program "Akademia Zdrowych Pleców" [Healthy Back Academy] which is supervised by the Scientific Board chaired by the authority in faulty posture correction - Prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Kasperczyk. The Board comprises also specialists in different fields of science: medicine, physical culture and social sciences. The program's main objective is promotion of health and prevention of faulty postures. One of the program's elements is establishing the School Correction Centres, with the OPIW-01 unit as the basic equipment.The Scientific Board recommends OPIW-01 unit and its extended version OPIW-01plus as standard equipment for School Correction Centres used in prevention and treatment of faulty postures. The program "Akademia Zdrowych Pleców" is the largest initiative of that type, initiated in order to asses the health-related needs of children adolescents and adults.
